Lynda.com is moving to LinkedIn Learning on July 30
McMaster will soon be transitioning Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning as part of the university’s online learning suite. This change will be effective July 30, 2019. Further details and communications regarding what to expect with the move from Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning will be shared in the coming weeks on Daily News.
Lynda.com is a popular training website for software, technology, business and creative skills. Offering thousands of videos on hundreds of topics, Lynda.com is available to all students, staff and faculty at McMaster University. This move to the new LinkedIn Learning platform will provide the same Lynda.com content delivered through an intuitive, new learning experience that is powered by insights from the LinkedIn network.
LinkedIn Learning features the same video library from Lynda.com, which means that users will be able to pick up their learning right where they left off.
The LinkedIn Learning platform will provide new features such as:
- an updated look and feel
- personalized course recommendations
- shareable multi-media collections (playlists)
- social curation (i.e. “like” the videos that you’ve watched)
