December 2021: Mosaic Rapid Release
Goal: Updates to layout of the Mosaic Rapid Release Project Documentation
What has changed:
As we roll into the planning for another great year of Rapid Release, we have taken the opportunity to refresh our documentation, internally to our working group, as well as externally to our clients.
Both the Rapid Release Tracker and the Schedule of Planned Release Dates have been given facelifts. Check them out!
Goal: Streamline the NavBar in Mosaic
What has changed:
Remove any items which are delivered but not in use in Mosaic from being viewed in the NavBar, to reduce confusion for our Mosaic users.
Another great suggestion from our McMaster community.
Goal: Archive an outdated Mosaic website
What has changed:
It recently came to light that some Mosaic Finance Users had long ago bookmarked informational pages from a now unused Mosaic web information site, and were referencing outdated information and instructions.
We have archived the old Mosaic website, and additionally blocked it from being returned in Search Engine results.
Goal: Provide the Faculty of Health Sciences with more granular reporting on Payments to individuals (Part I)
What has changed:
In support of a proposed change in business practices in the Faculty of Health Sciences, we expanded the list of Payment Reasons available for selection in payline entry, Additional Pay entry and in use in our mass load to Additional Pay program.
We loved that we could provide a solution that makes use of delivered functionality in a new way! Even better, our custom Load to Additional Pay program already included this field.
Goal: Provide the Faculty of Health Sciences with more granular reporting on Payments to individuals (Part II)
What has changed:
We added an additional field to a run control page giving users the option to select a Payment Reason from a predetermined list, which will then automatically append the reason to each of the records being mass loaded into Paylines.
This change was also implemented in response to the request for more granular reporting from the Faculty of Health Sciences.
