December 2022: Mosaic Rapid Release

Goal: Improve Finance Position Security eForm Approvals
What has changed: We have updated the Finance Position Security eform to display the details of the Submitter for Approvers.
Anything Else I Need to Know: After using the new form for a month, we realized that we missed including the name of the person submitting the eform for approvers to easily view.
Goal: Implement new ‘Return to Search’ button for eForm approvers
What has changed: To save time and effort for HR eForm approvers, a new custom ‘Return to Search’ button is now available after forms are approved, denied or recycled.
Anything Else I Need to Know: This button allows users to return to the eForm search screen with search parameters retained, which means there is no need to re-enter search criteria when approving a batch of eForms.
Goal: Fix two long-standing pain points
What has changed: A very small subset of employees required monitoring and manual updates each pay. A separate intermittent issue requiring technical support was cropping up very occasionally. While neither intervention was overly time-consuming, we are very happy to see the solutions were included in our latest tax update.
Anything Else I Need to Know: One of the greatest benefits of getting current with our Tax Updates on a regular basis are the bug fixes they may include!
Goal: Get Current to the latest Tax Update available from our Vendor – Fall 2022
What has changed: The latest update bundle from our Vendor was launched, to clear the way for the upcoming tax changes for Year End and the New Year: 207 updates, 86 functions tested, and 32 additional validations, in less than 6 weeks. An exercise in good planning and great collaboration.
Anything Else I Need to Know: There were enough items requiring regression testing in this package, that we thought it wise to complete ahead of our very tight timelines for the December Tax Update.
Goal: Remove the ability to choose an incorrect exchange rate on MacBill invoices to prevent errors
What has changed: By limiting the type of exchange rate that can be used for Billing, labour intensive error corrections will be avoided
Anything Else I Need to Know: We used Page & Field Configurator to apply the relevant business rule.
Goal: Provide a better method for making applicant contact list available to faculty offices
What has changed: Lists are now available by using queries available in the Campus Centre nav collection, replacing the prior business practice involving email requests and file sharing.
Anything Else I Need to Know: Security is restricted to specific users who need to see the contact data within each faculty.
Goal: Streamline Record of Employment (ROE) processing
What has changed: New reporting fields were added to the ROE exception report to provide important information and streamline the business process. An additional update to the logic was also implemented to recognize individuals with multiple jobs to reduce the ROE generating incorrectly. These additional fields reduce the manual reviews required.
Anything Else I Need to Know: These two enhancements were made to reduce the administrative time & effort required in our weekly ROE processing.
Goal: Provide greater efficiency for processing prior period payroll adjustments
What has changed: We added access to four more pages in the Prior Period Adjustment navigation collection, providing a higher degree of efficiency for HR Advisors and Payroll Analysts who manage prior period payroll adjustments.
Anything Else I Should Know: Two new pages were added in the Payroll Processing section, and we also provided additional quick links to the Query Manager and Process Monitor for ease of use.
Goal: Streamline the review and handling of employee benefits changes
What has changed: We added access to one additional page in the Benefits section of the HR Administrator navigation collection.
Anything Else I Need to Know: HR Advisors now have quicker access to review a listing of outstanding Benefit Action items.
Goal: Speed up the process for recurring manual deposits
What has changed: We added pre-defined chartfield strings via speed-type codes to gain some efficiency with depositing recurring non macbill payments.
Anything Else I Need to Know: Now we can select a speed-type code instead of entering the full chartfield string for each entry!
Goal: Increase the granularity available for reporting on additional payments made to employees
What has changed: We have added three new categories available for use in our Mass load to Additional Pay and to Paylines.
Anything Else I Need to Know: These new reasons give added granularity for reporting on certain payment scenarios.
