Accessing Support for your Psychological well-being

Telus Health is McMaster’s provider of the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP). Telus Health helps you take practical and effective steps to improve your well-being and be the best you can be. They offer a supportive, confidential and caring environment and will provide you with assessment and guidance for any challenge.

Community Supports

Wellness Together Canada Learn More

Wellness Together Canada provides free mental health resources to Canadians, including immediate text support, information and videos, a mindfulness program, and individual phone, video and text counselling.

BounceBack Learn More

A free, guided self-help program that’s effective in helping people aged 15 and up who are experiencing mild-to-moderate depression, or may be feeling low, stressed, worried, irritable or angry.  This program is free free for Ontarians.

Hope for Wellness (for Indigenous peoples) Learn More

The Hope for Wellness Help Line offers immediate mental health counselling and crisis intervention to all Indigenous peoples across Canada.

Crisis Support Learn More

Resources to access immediate mental health support for yourself, a colleague, or a loved one.

AbilitiCBT Learn More

This internet-based, therapy-led program allows you to complete an assessment, connect with a professional therapist and move through modules at your own pace.  There are scheduled check-ins along the way.  This program is like other benefits – you pay for the program up front and may submit for reimbursement through your extended health care plan under paramedical coverage.
