June: Men’s Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage men to take an active role in their physical and mental well-being. Men’s Health Month highlights the importance of connection, community, and support systems in helping men lead healthier lives. This focus is reflected through initiatives that promote movement, nutrition, mental health, and social connection, while addressing barriers that can prevent men from seeking support.

Initiatives in June also include Pride Month, National Indigenous History Month, and National AccessAbility Week. The month of June reminds us that well-being is deeply connected to inclusion, equity, and belonging. Together, these intersecting themes create opportunities for the McMaster community to engage in meaningful conversations, participate in events, and foster a more supportive and inclusive environment for all.
