Looking for an energizing way to stay active and boost your well-being during the workday? Pulse at PACE is a wellness initiative designed exclusively for McMaster faculty and staff – and there is no cost for you to participate.
The Physical Activity Centre for Excellence (PACE) offers a welcoming, research-informed environment with
- Access to fully equipped fitness facility featuring treadmills, stair-climbers, stationary bikes, arc trainers, and Nu-Step machines.
- State-of-the-art strength training equipment, free weights, resistance bands, and raised exercise mats.
- Locker rooms and change facilities (bring your own lock).
- Support from knowledgeable Athletics & Recreation staff to help you feel confident and safe while you exercise.

- Convenient on-campus location – no need to travel off-site.

Program Details:
When: Mondays & Wednesdays | 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., starting January 12, 2026
Where: Physical Activity Centre of Excellence (PACE), Ivor Wynne Centre Room E114 (see directions here)
Who Can Join: All full-time and part-time McMaster employees
Cost: This program is sponsored by Sun Life and there is no cost for you to participate.
Pre-registration is required — reserve your workout session and bring your employee ID.
If you’re new to the Pulse at PACE program – Kick it off with expert support! Personal Trainers from The Pulse will be on site Monday, January 12, and Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. They’ll be available to show you how to use the equipment, answer your questions, and provide tips on proper exercise technique. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence and make the most of your workout—don’t miss it!
This program is your opportunity to prioritize your health and well-being — right on campus!
Please note that the Pulse at PACE program will not be available during the following weeks:
- January 5 – 9, 2026 (First week of classes)
- February 16 – 20, 2026 (Winter Reading Week)
- March 16 – 20, 2026 (March Break)
