Learn how aging and dementia can affect mealtimes, eating, and swallowing at this free, community education event!
Hosted by McMaster University’s Aging Swallow Research Lab and the Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton, this half-day event will feature expert talks from a speech-language pathologist and registered dietician, a presentation about dementia, a lively panel discussion with family caregivers, and a vibrant vendor showcase.
Whether you’re a caregiver, someone with swallowing challenges, or just curious about aging and dementia, you’ll walk away from this event with helpful tips, strategies, and resources to make mealtime more enjoyable.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided to all in-person attendees. Everyone is welcome!
In-person attendees who visit every vendor booth will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $150 gift card.
