February 2020: Mosaic Rapid Release
Goal: Standardize the Way Labour Distribution Data Is Presented
What has changed?
Employee names across all labour distribution reports and queries now display as ‘Last, First Middle’. Additionally, they now sort by chartfield, then by name. Providing labour distribution results in a more consistent manner will make it easier for managers and finance managers across the university to review their data.
This was a small but impactful suggestion from our finance community.
Goal: Make It Easier to Review Applicant Resumes
What has changed?
Your downloaded applicant file folders are now displayed by first name, as is seen in the ‘Manage Job Opening’ screen and your downloaded applicant excel file. This level of consistency in the way the names are presented makes it easier to review and coordinate applicant and resume information.
This suggestion was brought forward by the Recruiting and Hiring Community.
Goal: Expand Our Ability to Gather Meaningful Data on Payroll Issues
What has changed?
We have expanded the list of pay reasons within Mosaic to allow Human Resources Services to gather additional metrics related to payroll issues, assisting with their goals of reducing errors, and improving processes.
We added values to a drop down list, and hid ones McMaster doesn’t use.
Goal: Add an External URL Link to a Navigation Collection
What has changed?
We have provided our back office HR users with a seamless way to access MacDrive, JIRA, and JIRA Service Desk right from within Mosaic!
This seamless connectivity suggestion comes from our HR community and will be a time-saver in our fast-paced and demanding environment.
Goal: Improve the HR Reporting Hub – Feb 2020
What has changed?
The HR Reporting Hub continues to evolve to better meet the needs of administrators across McMaster. The Employee Training Report (a back office report) has been removed, the old vacation balance query has been replaced with our newer vacation balance report.
We are constantly evaluating new reports and queries to see if they need to be added to an existing navigation collection.
