Goal: Add a new report to the Payroll & Accounting section of the HR Strategic Reporting Hub
What has changed: Based on great feedback from end users, the HR Strategic Reporting Hub has been expanded to include a new report within the Payroll & Accounting Nav Collection aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources Services.
Anything Else I Need to Know: One (1) new report has been added to this popular navigation collection! This report will enable users to look up training payments issued to TA’s (CP1), to ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Goal: Dynamically Update Job Data on Contract Extension eForm
What has changed: To help HR Operations efficiently review and approve Contract Extension requests, the forms pull information directly from Job Data. An enhancement has been made to this functionality to dynamically update the data if a change is made after a form has been submitted.
Anything Else I Need to Know: This improvement ensures that the most current information is displayed to help with timely eForm approvals.
Goal: Resolve an issue w Combo Code on Contract Extension eForm
What has changed: A fix has been implemented on the Contract Extension eForm, within the Additional Changes Required / Combo Code section of the form.
Anything Else I Need to Know: The fix ensures that the current Project on the Combo Code is not able to be edited, and removes a series of bugs if the ‘Do you wish to make any additional changes?’ question on the form is changed from ‘Yes’ then back to ‘No’.
Goal: Provide additional employee information in Contract Extension eForm
What has changed: A new ‘Standard Hours’ field has been added to the Current Employee Info segment of the Contract Extension eForm, which pulls in the current standard hours on the employee’s position.
Anything Else I Need to Know: This increases efficiency for users making schedule changes on the Contract Extension eForm and saves them searching for this information elsewhere in Mosaic.
Goal: Resolve issues in the Additional Changes segment of the Contract Extension eForm
What has changed: The fixes remove form data if users indicate that they would like to make additional changes for the employee on the form, populate the form segments, and then change their response to ‘No’.
Anything Else I Need to Know: Although this is an uncommon scenario, previously form data was retained in the background and fed through to eForm approvers in HR Operations. The risk for errors has now been removed.
Goal: Enhance the Schedule Change eForm functionality
What has changed: A number of enhancements have been made to the Schedule Change eForm to improve the user experience and make completing this form more efficient.
Anything Else I Need to Know: When indicating the number of weeks in the schedule, the correct number of days and rows will now generate automatically, saving users many clicks when completing the form. New validations have also been added to the Schedule Change grid to error-proof this section of the form. These changes are also reflected on the Contract Extension eForm.
Goal: Retire a McMaster Customization!
What has changed: During parallel testing for our latest Tax Update, it became apparent we would be able to remove a previous customization from use!
Anything Else I Need to Know: Thorough testing is a cornerstone of our approach to updates from our Vendor.
Goal: Get set for Tax Reporting season with the latest Tax Update available from our Vendor
What has changed: The first annual tax update provided by our Vendor each year often contains updates for Year End tax reporting. 46 Patches, 36 functions tested, along with another 7 separate validations, all within a tight testing window.
Anything Else I Need to Know: Staying current with Tax Updates ahead of this change package is critical to our ability to efficiently implement the year end changes.
Goal: Increase efficiency in handling weekly payroll processing tasks in Mosaic
What has changed: We have reviewed and improved the Payroll Processing navigation collection used by HR Services to run critical payroll processes every week.
Anything Else I Need to Know: Periodic reviews of existing navigation collections are recommended, to keep pace with changes in technology and business practices.
Goal: Replace a repetitive manual field update on every new Maintenance Work Order created with a default value
What has changed: This change will speed up the data entry process for all new work orders submitted.
Goal: Increase efficiency for handling annual tax slip processing for HR Services
What has changed: We have expanded the Tax Slip Processing navigation collection to include four new pages, aimed at increasing efficiencies for our hardworking Year End administrators.
Anything Else I Need to Know: Periodic reviews of existing navigation collections are recommended, to keep pace with changes in technology and business practices.
