March 2022: Mosaic Rapid Release

Goal: Provide a more unified Experience in Jira across all Mosaic support streams
What has changed:
We have launched a series of new Dashboards in Jira which provide a more unified overview of each of our three main pillars in Mosaic. For now, we are piloting these new dashboards on the Support side in Jira, and fine tuning as we go.
We are already seeing the value in streamlining workflows, understanding and managing workload across our team, as well as leveraging our shared resources more efficiently.
Goal: Expansion of the HR Reporting Hub (Mar 2022)
What has changed:
Based on great feedback from end users, the HR Reporting Hub has been expanded to include new reports aimed at improving efficiency for financial managers and administrators.
A new “Upcoming UF1 STE” report has been added to enable auditing of when an interim employee will enter into Unifor Unit 1 (UF1) Short Term Employee (STE) status.
Goal: Provide a way to more easily add Grad Students to research project teams
What has changed:
Previously, if a grad student was not an active employee with job data in HR and therefore no active finance profile, they wouldn’t show up in the lookup to be added as a project team member (e.g. to allow purchases through scientific stores). This change uses information from Campus on our active grad students as the new source for this team lookup regardless of HR job data
The workaround of setting up a POI record for grad students to add them to the project team will no longer be necessary.
Goal: Improve the User Experience on the Moneris Checkout Error page
What has changed:
When there is a technical problem with Moneris that results in a failed payment and an error message, the message is very generic and results in multiple failed attempts and confusion for the student trying to make the payment. The improved message tells the student not to attempt to make another payment and to notify UTS of the problem.
Not only will this improvement mean an improved experience for students, it will also result in less failed payment records to correct, and more timely reporting of the problem to UTS.
Goal: Expansion of the HR Strategic Reporting Hub (Mar 2022)
What has changed:
Based on great feedback from end users, the HR Strategic Reporting Hub has been expanded to include new reports aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources.
Five new reports have been added to this popular Navigation Collection!
Goal: Remove the Budget Impact segment from Request New Position eForm
What has changed:
Following the modification of the Request New Position eForm in September last year to remove FHS Finance, Research Finance and Principal Investigators from the approval workflow, the Budget Impact segment of this eForm has now been removed as this information is no longer required.
The improvement saves eForm submitters from providing information that will not be viewed by approvers.
