June 2020: Mosaic Rapid Release
Goal: Enable Additional Pages for Use in Component Lockdown
What has changed?
Oracle delivered a small selection of pages pre-enabled for this feature. They have provided a Red Paper to guide users in enabling any additional pages. We have updated the Create General Deductions, and Add/Update Position Data pages.
We expect to further expand this functionality in the future – stay tuned!
Goal: Provide a One-Button Way to Change a Page Access From Update to View Only for Specified Users (And Back Again)
What has changed?
A business process was changed to allow expanded access to the Add/Update Position Data page. The Payroll team can update user access to this page on an ad hoc basis to ensure no updates are made at times which would negatively impact system processes.
Our first ‘General’ type of component lockdown has been implemented!
Goal: Expand on Our Automated Component Lockdown for Payroll
What has changed?
Create General Deductions has been added to our suite of pages which automatically change from Update to View Only during Pay Calculation and Pay Confirm.
We expect this list to keep expanding in the future. Each page added enhances our payroll stability and accuracy.
Goal: Improve Efficiency of HR Responses to Employee Pay Inquiries
What has changed?
We have added an additional page to two back office Navigation Collections which will assist the HR team in quickly viewing paycheque information in a similar layout as the employee’s they are assisting.
As an added bonus, this page also shows whether the paycheque has been published to Self Service yet or not!
Goal: Enable the Building of More User-Friendly Reporting off the Highly Complex Department Budget Table
What has changed?
In support of the Position Management project, we have provided HR Services with series of views and tables to assist departments in reviewing their area’s combo code, position, and security setup.
HR Services will use the tables as the basis for a series of new DBT and Position related queries.
