May 2021: Mosaic Rapid Release
Goal: Provide a way to highlight Privacy & Confidentiality for users of Navigation Collections
What has changed?
We were tasked with providing a Landing Page of sorts for two different Navigation Collections — a first at McMaster! A statement from HR Services and links to policy resources are found on these new pages.
Both the HR Reporting Hub, and the HR Strategic Reporting Hub have been outfitted with this New Feature!
Goal: Improve the User Experience on the HR Reporting Hub
What has changed?
We have alpha-sorted the menu navigation within the HR Reporting Hub to make it more intuitive to use. A new landing page has been added as well.
Another great suggestion from our McMaster community!
Goal: Expansion of the HR Strategic Reporting Hub
What has changed?
We have added a brand new Landing Page to this popular Navigation Collection, as well as providing an additional User Guide resource. This collection has also been expanded to include new reports aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources Services.
8 new reports and a new eForms – Position Management section have been added to the Navigation Collection to support the launch of the eForms project!
Goal: Create a new way to action OSAP students requiring manual review for Satisfactory Academic Progress
What has changed?
Once students are flagged for academic progress review, this query presents them to the Government Aid Officer and allows them to link directly from the data to various screens to check on the student’s progress. This will save significant time.
We have created a new way to identify students who may need to be reported to OSAP because of unsatisfactory academic progress. This process puts a flag on the student’s OSAP tracking and we needed a more efficient way of reviewing these flagged students.
Goal: Create new Chartfield request form
What has changed?
There is now a new electronic form within Mosaic to use for requesting new or updating existing departments and programs as well as requesting HR salary combo codes. This form provides enhanced functionality and electronic workflow.
You can find the new form under Administrative Home – Finance eForms Requests.
Goal: Combo Edits for Research
What has changed?
Beginning April 23rd, a new combo edit will be in place for all financial transactions to ensure the proper research fund representing internal or external funding is used for research projects. (eg. 50/55 or 80/85.
In the past, financial transactions could be entered with the incorrect fund which required extra manual corrections to ensure correct financial reporting – these errors will now be prevented.
