Mosaic Rapid Release: January 2025

Goal: Expansion of the HR Strategic Reporting Hub (January 2025)

What’s changed: Based on great feedback from end users, three (3) new reports have been added to the HR Strategic Reporting Hub, aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources Services.

Anything else I need to know: Three (3) new reports have been added to this popular navigation collection! One (1) report was created to meet the requirements of a new Collective Agreement provision with our MUALA bargaining partners. One (1) additional report was created to support the reconciliation of the annual External Tuition Bursary Disbursement Calculation process. One (1) final report was created to support the auditing and compliance requirements pertaining to upcoming expiring temporary work permits.

Goal: Expansion of the HR Reporting Hub (January 2025)

What’s changed: Based on great feedback from end users, custom reports have been created to support administrative processes in University Technology Services (UTS) and HR data administrators aimed at improving efficiency for HR data users.

Anything else I need to know: Three (3) new custom reports have been created to support the UTS team with provisioning and deprovisioning Microsoft (MS) licenses and McMaster email access to active and inactive employees, based on various Collective Agreement (CBA) provisions. One (1) new report has been added to support time administrators in auditing employees who have been paid more than 80 hours on an individual paycheque.

Goal: Removed old, redundant termination reports from the HR Reporting Hub and Navigation

What’s changed: These queries are being replaced by the queries being added to the new IAM and MS License folder to be added to the HR Reporting Hub

Goal: Updates to T4A Reporting for 2024

What’s changed: Due to CRA changes, updated our reporting to ensure accurate T4A slips can be issued.

Goal: Streamline Expense Report Approvals for Central AP Office

What’s changed: With different approval requirements and processes for regular expense reports vs Pcard reconciliation expense reports, AP now has a more streamlined view in their approval worklist to administer the separate types of approvals

Goal: Remove old, inaccurate queries from the Financial Reporting Hub and My Research tile

What’s changed: In order to consolidate and simplify sources of reporting for research we have cleaned up some old queries that have been replaced by more accurate and flexible reporting available in the BI RPS and PI Dashboards.

Goal: Updates to T4A Reporting for 2024

What’s changed: Due to CRA changes, updated our reporting to ensure accurate T4A slips can be issued.

Goal: Implement a more streamlined way to upload vouchers from Campus Stores as part of a new software implementation

What’s changed: Instead of manual re-keying of invoice information in excel to be sent to AP, Campus Stores has a new software system that delivers voucher data directly to AP for the creation of vouchers

Anything else I need to know: This will increase the efficiency of loading vouchers and reduce the risk of data entry errors

Goal: New PO voucher lookup query has been added to the Financial Reporting Hub Navigation Collection

What’s changed: This query is helpful to users who want to quickly see what vouchers have been paid against a PO and the status of the PO.

Anything else I need to know: Hyperlinks to the individual vouchers allows the user to get further details related to the voucher.

Goal: Integrate Data Cookbook with an existing Navigation Collection (Financial Reporting Hub)

What’s changed: We have integrated Data Cookbook(data definitions) information with the much-used Financial Reporting Hub. 54 reports and queries in the navigation collection have been reconfigured to display Data Cookbook information on the same page where the Query or Report is run.

Anything else I need to know: This integration gives users valuable information about the individual queries and reports in the Financial Reporting Hub right where they need it most!
