Effective November 26th, new employees will automatically be enrolled in mandatory Health, Safety, Primer on Privacy and AODA Human Rights training. In most circumstances the new employee’s training courses will be available in Avenue to Learn on their first day of employment. This process improvement eliminates the requirement for new hires to manually enrol in each training course in Mosaic, and then wait 24 hours to complete the training in Avenue to Learn. Please note, new employees in Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) will be automatically enrolled in the FHS Fire Safety training.
Site specific and other regulatory Health and Safety training will continue to require manual enrollment in Mosaic. The process for manually enrolling for additional training within Mosaic can be found on the HR website in the Health and Safety FAQ.
Departments that provide new hire welcome/onboarding emails or documents should adjust the wording to reflect this new process.
These changes to training registration do not apply to rehires or Affiliates.
