Nominations are Open for the President’s Awards for Outstanding Service

Nominations are now open for McMaster University’s President’s Awards for Outstanding Service, celebrating exceptional staff whose dedication, innovation and impact strengthen our community.
Nominations are now open for the President’s Awards for Outstanding Service.
Recognition plays a critical role in celebrating our diverse employee community, driving employee engagement and promoting continued progress towards institutional values and goals. Please consider nominating those who are consistently outstanding in their service and/or innovation, or who repeatedly enhance our university’s reputation through their outstanding work.
The President’s Awards for Outstanding Service were introduced to acknowledge employees who are:
- Non-teaching members of the University community
- Full or part-time employees from operations, research and ancillary departments or units of McMaster University and
- Employed on a continuing basis or for a term or contract of one or more year’s duration.
The President’s Awards for Outstanding Service offers a maximum of 10 awards honouring individuals or teams (with a maximum of 2 group awards), along with one lifetime achievement, one early achievement award, and up to two special achievement awards. The nominees and award recipients are acknowledged for their achievements through various online and print media, and at a celebratory event on June 5, 2026.

Nomination applications for individuals and teams may be requested online until January 19, 2026 at 9 a.m. and completed nomination applications and supporting documents must be received no later than February 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
All submissions will be reviewed by the President’s Awards Advisory Committee who will provide me with their recommendations. I will have the pleasure of announcing the award recipients in the spring.
