November 2022: Mosaic Rapid Release

Goal: Improve the description appearing in GL for Limited tendered PO’s

What has changed: An error was corrected in the way data was translated from MacBuy into Mosaic GL to show a clear description for end users reading reports.

Goal: Combine HR and Finance eForms on one Homepage

What has changed: With the release of the new Finance Position Security request form, we wanted to make it easier for users to find all the forms they need to manage positions in one place.

Anything else I Need to Know: We’ve consolidated all HR and Finance eForms on one Home page in the top menu bar of Mosaic.

Goal: Increase efficiency using the Prior Period Adjustment Nav Collection

What has changed: To increase efficiency for HR users processing prior period adjustments, three new pages have been added to the Prior Period Adjustments Nav Collection.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Users will now have easy access to the Override General Deductions, Override Benefit Deductions and Arrears pages to assist when processing overpayments and EFTs.

Goal: Expand the HR  Reporting Hub – Nov 2022

What has changed: To support hiring managers from across the university, the Applicant Download Report has been created to allow users to pull key applicant information from the Recruitment module.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This report will streamline the process for departments to upload applicant data to third party recruitment systems.

Goal: Expand the HR Strategic Reporting Hub – Nov 2022

What has changed: Based on great feedback from end users, the HR Strategic Reporting Hub has been expanded to include five new reports aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources Services.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Four new reports have been added to help streamline the administration of the External Tuition Bursary benefit, and a new report was created to allow users to look up position incumbent information.

Goal: Improve the user experience on the Deferred Admission approval screen

What has changed: We added citizenship data to both the approval page and to the search screen, as well as adding the last updated date to the search screen

Anything Else I Need to Know: Users will find it easier to make decisions about International student admission deferrals and to find the requests that need to be processed

Goal: Automatically notify users when Student Records service requests have been approved

What has changed: A new automated Notification was created in Mosaic.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This functionality sends an email notification to a specific user triggered by a change to Approved status on a Service Request.

Goal: Migrate the DW database to Oracle Gen2

What has changed: Moving the Data Warehouse database to Oracle Gen2 hardware will improve performance and response time, and is the first step in the move to Oracle Cloud.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This completes our Mosaic portion of our upgrades to the new Oracle Gen2 hardware.

Goal: Optimize efficiency for creating queries in Financial Aid – Personal Data

What has changed: A new view table was created which combines frequently used student personal data in one place.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This greatly simplifies creating new queries, as well as optimizing report output.

Goal: Improve the usability of Financial Aid “Manage Aid Applications” screen

What has changed: We added a new page for viewing AwardSpring application data, and replaced some translate code values with their long descriptions.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This adds visibility to data that previously could only be accessed by query, and makes data easier to understand, especially by new staff

Goal: Migrate the CS and Portal databases to Oracle Gen2

What has changed: Moving the Portal and Campus Solutions databases to Oracle Gen2 hardware will improve performance and response time, and is the first step in the move to Oracle Cloud.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Loading pages, and running processes and reports in Finance and HR should be faster with this upgrade.

Goal: Apply a business rule to OSAP Manage Student Data page in Mosaic

What has changed: This is a simple edit to a field on the OSAP Manage Student Data screen to prevent entering of invalid data.

Anything Else I Need to Know: When basis of eligibility is SPF, units are not used for assessing eligibility

Goal: Enhance efficiency for creating queries in Financial Aid – Award Application Data

What has changed: A new view table was created in Campus Solutions which combines frequently used AwardSpring application data in one place.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This greatly simplifies creating new queries, as well as optimizing report output.
