September 2021: Mosaic Rapid Release
Goal: Provide a more effective way to provide Fiscal Year annual Fringe Costs for required third party reporting
What has changed:
We replaced a Query and a highly manual process with existing front end tables for the business to maintain, and an App Engine in Data Warehouse to build the report and validate the data included, based on information from both Finance and Human Resources.
While this item was first suggested several years ago, other competing priorities had always kept it on Hold. We are happy to see this one finally finished!
Goal: File Integration with Presence Student Engagement System
What has changed:
Student Affairs needed a daily extract from Mosaic student data to interface with their Presence Student Engagement system. The file is now created and transferred securely every night.
When the urgent need for this integration became apparent, it was ready to go in 2 days!
Goal: Provide a way for supervisors to be able to validate MacCheck daily screening status for employees attending Campus
What has changed:
In response to the University’s vaccination mandate we had to quickly set up a secure integration point between an external App and Mosaic, and set up Dashboards to support Management requirements.
Another quick change precipitated by Covid-19. Another great collaboration between UTS and HR resources.
Goal: Provide a way to validate when HR Combo Codes are created in Finance
What has changed:
The time and date of when a new HR combo code is created in Finance to send to HR will now be maintained as part of a custom report.
This change will allow Finance to respond to end user inquiries and troubleshoot if there is an issue with availability of HR combo codes in HR more easily.
