Upcoming Municipal Election

The Ontario-wide municipal elections will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Under the Municipal Elections Act, employees are eligible for time off to vote at the election and are encouraged to discuss their respective plans with supervisors. If an employee’s scheduled hours of work on Monday, October 24, 2022, do not allow for 3 consecutive hours free from work between 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the employee may ask their supervisor to grant time off from scheduled hours to provide 3 consecutive hours for voting.
