McMaster Forest is home to a wide variety of trees, including an old-growth forest area. Our guide will start by describing some of the fundamental features of trees, tree health, common tree diseases and how to steward and maintain tree health. We will then walk along the trails to find and discuss the many trees we encounter, including the tree research done by McMaster faculty and students. Please dress appropriately for hiking, with hiking shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirt/jacket.
Please note that this event is in person. All participants must adhere to the McMaster University COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Please find the McMaster University COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate all requirements for accessing campus via the MacCheck digital tool.
