July 2021: Mosaic Rapid Release
Goal: Add new public Query to the Financial Reporting Hub for outstanding travel and expense reports
What has changed:
A new query has been added to the Financial Reporting Hub that will provide users with a list of all expense reports they have created that have not yet been paid. This will allow the user to follow up on reports that may still be in the approval process OR have not yet been submitted for approval and will help to move them along to payment.
The query is available within the Financial Reporting Hub under the AP/ T&E Queries section.
Goal: Hide the “Update Accounting Detail” link from Expense Workflow
What has changed:
Once an expense report is submitted for approvals, changes to the accounting chartstring shouldn’t be made unless the report is sent back to the preparer for this purpose.
Previously, a link showed on the approval pages and caused confusion for some approvers. This link has now been removed.
Goal: Enable staff across the University to work in multiple Navigation Collections at one time
What has changed:
Sometimes folks just need to be able to work in multiple Navigation Collections concurrently. We have added a link to the HR Reporting Hub which will open HR Tasks in a new tab (and vice versa!).
You can find the two new links in the ‘Useful Links’ section of the HR Reporting Hub and the HR Tasks navigation collections.
Goal: Provide a way to report on time linked to Bill 248 changes to Employment Standards
What has changed:
A new report titled ‘IDEL Time Reporting Audit’ has been added to the HR Reporting Hub.
Access this new query in the ‘Review Time and Exceptions’ section of the HR Reporting Hub.
Goal: Provide a way to track time entries linked to Bill 248 changes to Employment Standards
What has changed:
Another regulatory change precipitated by the Covid-19 pandemic created a need to provide additional time reporting possibilities.
A new Time Reporting Code has been established in support of this new regulatory requirement.
Goal: Report on enrolment every day as it happens, and compare to previous years
What has changed:
In order to track trends in student enrolment in classes, the Registrar’s Office needed a report that showed how many students enrolled each day based on their level and enrolment appointment date, in comparison to previous years.
Among other things, this is important to prepare for sudden spikes of Mosaic usage due to thousands of students enrolling in courses at one time.
