April 2022: Mosaic Rapid Release

Goal: Modify the Contract Extension eForm
What has changed: Questions on the ‘Additional Changes Required’ segment of the Contract Extension eForm have been improved for scenarios where the employee occupies a multi-incumbent position.
More on this change: Form submitters will now be guided through this portion of the form with increased logic and simplicity to improve the end-user experience.
Goal: Change default to ‘View All’ on Tracking Details
What has changed: Every OSAP student has tracking records for each term they receive OSAP for, one to three terms in a year. Presenting all terms as a default when entering the tracking screen will save several clicks for users.
More on this change: It’s an easy change that will save a lot of time during OSAP confirmation of enrolment season!
Goal: Make Original Sponsor a mandatory field in Grant Proposals
What has changed: Original sponsor has always been an optional field and when a proposal does not have an original sponsor, the field is left blank. To improve data quality and reporting capabilities, the original sponsor field will now be mandatory.
Goal: Enable Users to land directly on the Administration tab of Report Manager
What has changed: Certain users had to navigate from the ‘List’ tab to the ‘Administration’ tab in order to complete their work in Report Manager. These folks were constantly having to make an additional click each and every time they needed to pick up a report.
More on this change: Now, all users will land on the Administration tab, by default. Another great suggestion from our McMaster community!
Goal: Review non-closed Jira tickets in all streams
What has changed: Our Mosaic support team in UTS (Enterprise Applications) launched a comprehensive review of all outstanding tickets across our three main Mosaic support streams in order to fully understand our current asks, and ensure any completed or no longer required tickets were fully documented and closed out.
More on this change: This was a huge undertaking! Much appreciation to those members of our McMaster community who were tapped for (or copied on) the massive amount of ticket updates. Their participation and patience were much appreciated!
Goal: Add Summer Bursary to AwardSpring Work Bursary Import
What has changed: Summer bursary processing has been a somewhat manual process involving queries. This improvement will allow them to be pulled from AwardSpring into Mosaic for processing.
More on this change: This is a big time saver, just in time for summer bursary season!
Goal: Recruitment Job Opening Workflow Change for FHS Finance Approvers
What has changed: The routing logic for the Recruitment approval workflow has been updated to reflect the departments and funds that the FHS Finance Budget Analysts are currently responsible for.
More on this change: This change will ensure that Job Openings are routing to the correct FHS Finance approvers.
Goal: Add Question for Multi-Incumbent Positions to Position Change eForm
What has changed: A new question now appears on the Position Data Update eForm if the position being updated is multi-incumbent. The question asks, ‘Do you want to update all incumbents on this position?’. If the answer is no, it will not allow the form to be submitted, and instructs users to move the impacted incumbent to a different position.
More on this change: This change will prevent form submitters from inadvertently making updates to all incumbents on a multi-incumbent position.
