McMaster Children’s Party

McMaster University is committed to fostering an inclusive community by providing families of McMaster employees and retirees with the opportunity to gather together.  At the annual McMaster Children’s Party, we build a greater awareness and understanding of each other’s cultures by celebrating the diversity of our children and holiday celebrations.

Date: Saturday November 23rd, 2019

Sport Hall, David Braley Athletic Centre

Party 1: 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Party 2: 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Children’s Party Committee operates with the following Sub-Committees:

  • Draw Prizes & Raffles
  • Entertainment & Decorations
  • Facilities & Food
  • Games & Crafts
  • Gifts & Goodie Bags
  • Promotions & Sponsorship
  • Volunteers

The entire Committee meets once a month, during a lunch hour, beginning immediately after the last party, to discuss party details for the upcoming year. After September, the entire Committee meets every-other-week until the Party date.

There are two Co-Chairs and each Sub-Committee has either a Chair or Co-Chair. Committee members choose which Sub-Committee they want to work on and can work on more than one, if they wish.

Sub-Committees meet independently and bring their ideas and recommendations to the entire Committee for approval.
