Notice of Postdoctoral Salary Ranges

The following information is posted in accordance with Article 17.03a) of the CUPE 3906 Unit #3 Collective Agreement for Postdoctoral Fellows, which states that,

“The parties recognize that from all combined sources including internal and external sources, the annualized stipends/salaries for employees fall within a range.  Based on the payroll information available, the University will, as at January 1st and July 1st of each calendar year, post a “Notice of Postdoctoral Salary Ranges” stating the then current 20th percentile and 80th percentile of postdoctoral fellowship salaries/stipends.”

  • As of January 1, 2016 the 20th percentile is $40,000/year, while the 80th percentile is $50,000/year.
  • As of July 1, 2016 the 20th percentile is $40,000/year, while the 80th percentile is $50,000/year.
  • As of January 1, 2017 the 20th percentile is $40,400/year, while the 80th percentile is $53,256.93/year.
  • As of July 1, 2017 the 20th percentile is $40,380/year, while the 80th percentile is $52,298.76/year.
  • As of January 1, 2018 the 20th percentile is $42,336/year, while the 80th percentile is $54,160.24/year.
  • As of July 1, 2018 the 20th percentile is $42,408/year, while the 80th percentile is $55,000/year.
  • As of January 1, 2019 the 20th percentile is $42,315/year, while the 80th percentile is $57,866.43/year
