As government, health officials and businesses at all levels adapt to the dynamic challenges of a second wave of COVID-19, we understand the enormous difficulties facing health care workers in their professional and personal lives.
Healthcare professionals are subject to ongoing and unique challenges. They may be exposed to varying degrees of traumatized populations and are often in high stress roles. These factors often contribute to moral injury, occupational stress, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout. Each day they support the needs of their communities and those impacted by the virus, while assuming added risk to their personal and family lives.
In support of health care providers and workers across the country, on Wednesday November 18th, Tuesday November 24th and Tuesday December 1st, Homewood Health will be hosting a webinar focused on the unique challenges facing health care workers with the onset of a second wave of COVID-19:
COVID-19: Specialized Mental Health Support for Health Care Workers, hosted by Katherine Sisak.
In this one hour webinar, participants will have an opportunity to focus on disruptive feelings which may be causing distress. We will also provide look at beneficial psychological supports, and reinforce adaptive coping strategies to protect their mental health through and beyond COVID-19.
