Human Resources Services and Dr. David Farrar are honoured to invite our employees celebrating 25 years of service to join us for an online reception. Festivities will include congratulatory remarks from Wanda McKenna and David Farrar, and a live musical presentation from Joel Affoon.

Joel Affoon is currently attending McMaster University studying Classical Piano with a specialization in Music Cognition. Recently, Joel was featured as a solo pianist with the McMaster Chamber Orchestra. He has been involved with the McMaster University Concert Band where he played alto saxophone and piano. He has also been a guest pianist for the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in the 2018-20 seasons, where he had the opportunity to participate in a rehearsal with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. During his time at McMaster, Joel has played for many events including McMaster Alumni Homecoming Lunch, May at Mac, Humanities Christmas Lunch as well as a pre-concert Christmas Sing Along at the Hamilton Philharmonic, to name a few. Joel is an advocate for public performance for himself as well as for others. During his free time he enjoys doing research in the field of performing arts medicine as he aspires to go into Music Performance and Rehabilitation sciences.
