About the Training Course
The Working Mind (TMW) is an evidence-based training, developed to initiate a shift in the way you think, act, and feel about mental health. It was designed to provide practical knowledge and skills to address mental health and mental illness in the workplace. It is intended for people leaders who manage and support teams.
Three Core Modules offer foundational content focusing on increasing self-awareness and taking care of your own mental health.
Dates and Times
The three modules will be held virtually (Zoom) over two days on May 9, 2024. You must be available for this date.
Participation
This course is intended for McMaster people leaders. We ask that you actively participate in the course and engage in your learning. Engagement includes chat activities, poll responses, breakout room discussions, reactions and verbal responses. Requirements for the course are regulated by the MHCC. Each participant will need to have access to a computer with a microphone and webcam. For learner engagement and safety, participants are expected to have cameras on during the course. To qualify for certification, you may not miss more than 30 minutes over the entirety of the course.

This program is funded by McMaster University. Those who cancel their registration within seven calendar days or less of the course start date, or who miss more than 30 minutes of the classes and cannot be certified, will have an administrative fee ($100) billed to their department.
