Human Resources Services is pleased to offer The Working Mind training through the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC). This 2-day mental health training directly supports our shared purpose of promoting and contributing to a healthy and safe community at McMaster University. As a leader, the role you play in supporting employees is critical and this program will equip you with tools to create a safe environment for mental health dialogue and strategies to support employees through the mental health continuum.
About the Training Course
The Working Mind (TMW) is an evidence-based training, developed to initiate a shift in the way you think, act, and feel about mental health. It was designed to provide practical knowledge and skills to address mental health and mental illness in the workplace. It is intended for people leaders who manage and support teams.
Three Core Modules offer foundational content focusing on increasing self-awareness and taking care of your own mental health. The Leader Module offers leadership-specific content and focuses on helping leaders support their teams’ mental health.
Dates and Times
The four modules will be held virtually (Zoom) over two days on January 29 and January 30, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. You must be available for both dates.
