Join us for a virtual wellness “Crafternoon” break.
A creative act such as crafting can help focus the mind and has even been compared to meditation due to its calming effects on the brain and body. Even if you feel “not-so-crafty”, this session is designed with you in mind. You don’t have to be artistic to be creative!
In this session, registrants will participate in a virtual “hands-on” session to make several beautiful, easy and useful projects from everyday items around the house. Join us to craft along, or just watch and learn some tips, from Craft Master, Laura Bartolini-Robinson.
Here are the things you should have on hand if you want to make the projects in real-time:
- White glue
- A hard-cover book less then 250 pages (not a book you want to keep intact)
- A few dry, easy to snap twigs (diameter smaller than a pencil)
- 8.5 X 11 paper (if you have cardstock, even better – colourful, even better again)
- Strong scissors
- 5 or more envelopes the same size (Not really large ones)
Laura is well-known in the paper-crafting community both locally and across Canada. Running a successful craft business for the past 20 years, Laura has mastered the art of helping individuals find their hidden creative side. She’s taught over a thousand arts and craft classes including rubber stamping, journal-making, sea glass art, felting, book folding, paper flower making and anything to do with paper crafting. As an award-winning instructor, Laura has been featured on local and national television, where she always adds her natural spontaneous goofiness with her imagination for making everyday things a work of heart.
