June 2022: Mosaic Rapid Release

Goal: Expansion of the HR Strategic Reporting Hub Jun 2022

What has changed: Based on great feedback from end users, the HR Strategic Reporting Hub has been expanded to include new reports aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources Services

Anything else I need to know: Three new reports have been added to this popular Navigation Collection, including an audit for probation dates and two audits to automate the fiscal year end reconciliation of sick salary continuance leaves.

Goal: Expansion of the HR Reporting Hub Jun 2022

What has changed: Based on great feedback from our end users, the HR Reporting Hub has been expanded to include new reports aimed at improving efficiency for financial managers and administrators.

Anything else I need to know: One custom report was created to support better and more proactive auditing of vendors and employees. 

Goal: Navigation Collection for Aid & Awards

What has changed: The Navigation Collection for the Aid and Awards department was in need of an overhaul.  Instead of updating the existing Nav Collection, we created a new fluid version with all the features required.

Anything else I need to know: We also imported a new image file, allowing for a greater variety of icons to be associated with fluid features

Goal: Provide Grad Students with MacBuy Access

What has changed: Previously, if a grad student was not an active employee with job data in HR and therefore no active finance profile (e.g. after mass termination at the end of term), they would lose access to purchase through our procurement system MacBuy even though they are continuing to work. Going forward any active grad student will maintain their access to purchase through MacBuy as long as they are authorized to do so and have training.  

Anything else I need to know: This will eliminate a lot of wasted time for the help desk, departments, HR, etc. when grad students continually lose their access and need to be reinstated or a POI created.

Goal: Enable new users to be provisioned with access to Labour Distribution reporting on closed Projected

What has changed: Sometimes, access to financial reporting for a Research Project is needed even after the Project has been closed out. When research accounting staff changes occur, we needed to be able to provision new users with access to report on older projects as well as current ones.

Anything else I need to know: Prior to this change, only staff who already been provisioned with access to a closed Project could run reports for that Project. Workarounds were in place, but were not efficient.

Goal: New MacBill Query for AR WorkCenter

What has changed: Receivables end users expressed a need for a query that pulls MacBill payments posted in a specific time period for a whole AR business unit (not specific to a customer). An existing query was updated to make the customer an optional prompt and 4 additional optional prompts were added to look up AR detail transactions by journal id, journal date, deposit BU or Deposit ID. 

Anything else I need to know: The query is available in both the Financial Reporting Hub (AR queries) as well as in the Receivables Workcentre
