Goal: Automate the process of MacBill deposits application

What has Changed: The process for uploading and applying payments for MacBill invoices by the AR office has been automated and configured to automatically match deposits based on various criteria.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This makes a very manual multi-step process much more efficient!

Goal: Send a notification to students when grades are updated

What has Changed: In the past, students had to log into Mosaic to check if grades had been posted yet, often multiple times.

Anything Else I Need to Know: An auto-generated email from Mosaic will now be sent to students when the grades are posted.

Goal: Develop Reporting Dashboards for MacBill users

What has Changed: 3 New reporting dashboards are now available in the MacBill workcentres: Invoice Dashboard, Aging Report Dashboard and KPI Report Dashboard.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The dashboards provide a great way to manage daily work, standardize reporting and visualize trends and patterns while also allowing users to take action directly from the reports/charts.

Goal: Automate the maintenance worksheet for MacBill

What has Changed: In the past, a manual cleanup was necessary to offset credit and rebill items against customer balances.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This process will now occur automatically!

Goal: Enable employees to access T4A slips without having to first log Consent

What has Changed: Based on recently updated rules from the Canada Revenue Agency, individuals with T4A slips issued by HR Services will now be able to access them via our Employee Self Service (ESS) without the need to additionally log Consent prior to doing so. Affects 2022 T4A slips or later.

Anything Else I Need to Know: As of now, access to T4A slips (without consent) will work more like our access to T4 slips. This will be so much less confusing to individuals at tax time.

Goal: Resolve a pain point which occasionally popped up during Payroll processing

What has Changed: An odd error periodically popped up during payroll processing. While the workaround required to clear the error was minimal, we are very happy to see the technical solution included in our latest tax update.

Anything Else I Need to Know: One of the greatest benefits of getting current with our Tax Updates on a regular basis are the bug fixes they may include!

Goal: Get Current to the latest Tax Update available from our Vendor

What has Changed: The latest update bundle from our Vendor was implemented in order to clear the way for the upcoming tax changes for Year End and the New Year: 182 updates, 57 functions tested, and 27 additional validations, in less than 6 weeks. An exercise in good planning and great collaboration.

Anything Else I Need to Know: There were enough items requiring regression testing in this package, that we thought it was imperative to complete ahead of our very tight timelines for the December Tax Update.
