Mosaic Rapid Release: June 2023

Goal: Provide two new custom reports in the HR Reporting Hub

What has changed: The CUPE Unit 1 (TA) Training Payment report has been added to the ‘Special Premium Payments’ folder, in accordance with Article 28 of the Collective Bargaining agreement. Results include the paycheque information associated with the date the payment was issued, and can be run for all the TA’s within a department or Faculty based on a date range, or by individual employee.

Anything Else I Need to Know: An additional report has been added to the ‘Job and Employee Info’ folder for the leadership team in Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs in order to better review employee data that rolls up to this new VP unit.

Goal: Reduce manual effort required to load student blocks for first year engineering block enrolment

What has changed: We created an Excel to CI to load student course blocks for first year engineering block enrolment.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This will greatly reduce the time required to enter this data every June, replacing several hours of data entry!

Goal: Schedule queries for SGS to be used in Slate

What has changed: Two new queries will run 4 times a day to extract data about deposits to update Slate for Grad admissions data.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This will help to greatly streamline the process!

Goal: Provide select additional users access to run an existing report in a Navigation Collection

What has changed: Based on great feedback from end users, security access to an existing report on the HR Strategic Reporting Hub has been enhanced, aimed at improving efficiency within Human Resources Services.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Providing direct access to run the report enables Senior Leaders to report on payroll data each fiscal year end using a self-service model in place of data requests and hand-offs!

Goal: Provide an easy solution for historical records missing data in a key field

What has changed: A business process change is in the works, and a data field is proposed to be used in a new way for reporting purposes.

Anything Else I Need to Know: A query was requested which would easily pinpoint records missing the expected data.

Goal: Provide a reliable way to identify records missing data in a key field

What has changed: This allows for just in time data entry and eliminates paperwork required after the fact.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Another great idea from our McMaster community!

Goal: Add a new Contact List query in Campus Center

What has changed: A new query has been added for Honours Bachelor of Health Science applicants.

Anything Else I Need to Know: One more query to help the Faculty of Health Science keep in contact with their applicants.
