Mosaic Rapid Release: March 2024

Goal: Expand the HR Strategic Reporting Hub – Mar 2024

What has Changed: Three (3) new reports have been added to this popular navigation collection, with the aim of increasing efficiency within several different teams in Human Resources Services.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The first report validates supplemental retiree benefit eligibility for Clinical Faculty for the HR Pension team. The second audits Mosaic HR security access setup for employees whose position has changed for the HR Technology team. The final report highlights recruitment trends for the OD & Talent team.

Goal: Support for our business partners in producing 2023 Tax Slip/Certificates

What has Changed: Each tax reporting season brings a mixture of annual support requirements, new regulatory requirements and business process changes.

Anything Else I Need to Know: So much goes on behind the scenes prior to issuing any tax slips or tax certificates!

Goal: Update a report in response to changing table usage

What has Changed: A report which has been in use since Go-Live for Mosaic began to include unwanted data due to additional system capabilities introduced by the Vendor. A case of new functionality having unexpected downstream effects.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The report was fine-tuned to include only the desired table results, and to exclude any extraneous data.

Goal: Improve the User Experience on the PI Actuals for ORS Report and List of PI’s page

What has Changed: Based on some great feedback from the end users, we have made several improvements to how the List of PI page is presented, and to the overall user experience on the Run Control page for the report!

Anything Else I Need to Know: We love hearing from the McMaster community about how Mosaic can work better for them!

Goal: Modify the Tax Slip Processing Nav Collection – YE 2023

What has Changed: In response to new Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) reporting requirements, and new system functionality a new section was added to this important navigation collection.

New system functionality plus four (4) auditing Queries were developed and added to this section

Anything Else I Need to Know: Two additional sections were ‘retired’ due to changes in CRA regulations and related updates to business processes.

We love how easy it is to modify Navigation Collections in response to changing business needs!

Goal: Update custom DW Reports to Capture new Tax Classes

What has Changed: We have completed updating the Data Warehouse reports affected by the launch of the new Tax Classes for 2024.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The Cost Centre by ID and Dt Range report has been modified to include the new Tax Class ‘CR2’.

Goal: Resolve an issue with publishing records to ESS

What has Changed: A bug was encountered which was preventing our Payroll team from publishing the completed 2023 tax slips to the Employee Self Service portal.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The issue was quickly resolved using Selective Adoption from a Patch provided by the Vendor.

Goal: Resolve a data anomaly found in a Data Warehouse table

What has Changed: An issue was uncovered while testing a Data Warehouse report update, where one ETL from HR was no longer running.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The missing ETL has been reinstated, ensuring the table in question is once again refreshed nightly from HR.
