Mosaic Rapid Release: September 2023

Goal: Expand access to the ‘Rejected Time by Date Range’ report

What has Changed: Additional users are now granted access to the Rejected Time by Date Range report, which was initially released in July of this year.

Anything Else I Need to Know: Department Finance Managers, Time Reporters and Approvers can look for this report in the ‘Review Time and Exceptions’ folder of the HR Reporting Hub!

Goal: Make the McMaster Alumni form more user-friendly

What has Changed: Information text was added to the top of the form to let graduates know that they will become a member of the McMaster Alumni Association and the benefits that come with it.

Anything Else I Need to Know: The text also includes information about information privacy and how to opt-out of receiving information from the university.

Goal: Improve the Convocation RSVP form (Fall 2023)

What has Changed: We have added:
– information for timing of degree mailing
– who to contact for form changes
– a new field for preferred email to be entered.

Anything Else I Need to Know: We have also updated the RSVP eForm with text and dates for Fall 2023.

Goal: Provide CUPE Unit 1 & 2 employees Mosaic access to their union-provided benefits info from Mosaic

What has Changed: Active employees in CUPE Units 1 and 2 now have direct access from Mosaic self service to review their union-provided benefit details.

Anything Else I Need to Know: A Tile has been added to our Employee Self Service homepage for these employees.

Goal: Implement a new report for the Office of Research Services (ORS)

What has Changed: The long-awaited McMaster PI Actuals for ORS report has finally been launched! While this mini project had many stops and starts along the way due to competing priorities and resourcing, our Mosaic Rapid Release initiative was instrumental in keeping us on track.

Anything Else I Need to Know: This new report will allow research accountants to report on PI base salary and fringe costs without having to ask for assistance. A huge win for ORS, the Faculties and Budgeting Services!
