The Quarter Century Club celebrates McMaster University employees who have reached 25 years of service. It’s a way to recognize and honour their dedication and contributions to the university community.

Staff and faculty who have completed 25 years of continuous service between January 1 and December 31 are eligible to attend the celebration taking place in the early part of the following calendar year (typically January or February each year).

Eligible employees will receive an invitation to their McMaster email outlining the details of the celebration and requesting an RSVP.  Invitations are typically sent out in November each year.  All recipients are also listed on this Quarter Century Club webpage under List of Recipients.

The event includes an afternoon of connection, conversation, and celebration, featuring:

• Remarks from the President in honour of your contributions
• Opportunities to connect and network with fellow honourees
• A delicious lunch prepared by McMaster’s award-winning culinary team
• A commemorative token of appreciation for your valued years of service; and
• Live musical entertainment by the talented versaCello

Yes.  During the registration process, our team will ask whether you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions or accessibility needs.  Please ensure you outline your needs on the registration form. You are also welcome to reach out to us at wellbeing@mcmaster.ca to discuss any required accommodations.

The current format if for recipients only.  Guests are not permitted.

During the registration process, our team will ask you whether you require a parking voucher to attend the celebration. If you would like us to provide you with a voucher, please let us know at the time of registration. The voucher will cover the cost of your parking during the celebration. In our confirmation and reminder messages, we will let you know which parking lots the vouchers are valid in. Visit this website for parking lot locations and directions.

Staff and faculty who have completed 25 years of continuous service between January 1 and December 31 will receive an invitation (typically) in November for a celebration that takes place (typically) in January/February the following year.  If you did not receive an invitation, please email wellbeing@mcmaster.ca so we can connect with you personally.

As a reminder, staff who reach 10, 20, 30, 35, 40, 45 or 50 years of service during the benefit year will be acknowledged as part of the annual Service Awards celebration. Typically, recipients receive a notification from Human Resources Services in the Spring each year.
