McMaster’s Indigenous Education Council is the primary body with responsibility for promoting and advocating for the advancement of Indigenous education at McMaster, championing the needs of Indigenous students, staff and faculty members, and providing advice and support to the University on all Indigenous matters.

The President’s Advisory Committee on Building an Inclusive Community (PACBIC) aims to identify and anticipate issues affecting equity-seeking communities both within the University and relevant to those seeking access to the University, and to advise the President on such issues.

The MAAC is responsible for ensuring the University’s adherence to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

The Employment Equity Committee will provide leadership, guidance and advice on the effective implementation and maintenance of the strategic goals and priorities outlined in the Employment Equity Framework, which is a component of the broader University Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy.
