Personal Leaders are all individual contributors. The Personal Leaders Program is a highly practical and engaging program designed for individuals to develop skills that are universally valuable within the McMaster University environment with an eye to future career development.The Personal Leaders Program helps to foster a culture of engagement, collaborative relationship building, and positive change through employee development.
Key topics delivered over 5 sessions include:
- Understanding your work-style preferences and appreciation of different styles
- Communicating to effectively connect with peers and managers
- Enhancing team work (adaptability, positivity, attentiveness, creativity, etc.)
- Finding creative solutions through conflict
- Building effective working and reporting relationships
- Managing stress
- Enhancing your understanding of McMaster and creating your networks
- Embracing change in your work environment
Dates/Time/Location:
- Thursdays, Oct 15, 29, Nov 12. Monday, Nov 23, and Thursday, Dec 3
- 9:00 am – Noon (live sessions will be 2-3 hours in duration with at least one break)
- Live/virtual sessions with Zoom or WebEx
