Benefits
As per the 2022 – 2025 joint committee agreement, the following benefit plan changes will be implemented. Benefit booklets will be updated shortly to reflect the below changes.
Effective July 1st, 2022:
- Mental Health: Licensed psychoanalysts, registered clinical counsellors and licensed marriage and family therapists have been added as eligible providers to the existing $3,000 per benefit year maximum.
- Christian Science Practitioner: No longer eligible under the benefit plan.
- Vision Care: Maximum increased from $400 to $500 per person every 24 months.
Effective July 1st, 2023:
- Paramedical Practitioners: $500 benefit year maximum per practitioner is to be replaced with a $2,000 per benefit year combined maximum for all eligible paramedical practitioners.
Effective July 1st, 2023:
- Paramedical Practitioners: $2,000 per benefit year combined maximum increased to $3,000 per benefit year combined maximum.
