July 1, 2023 Benefit Updates:
- Emergency Travel Assistance: Effective July 1st, Sun Life Global Excel Management (GEM) replaces Allianz Global Assistance as the new provider for emergency out-of-country and out-of-province travel assistance. If you’ll be travelling outside of Ontario, it’s a good idea to have your travel card with you as it includes the telephone numbers to call in the event of a medical emergency. On or after July 1st, you can download the new travel card on mysunlife.ca or the my Sun Life mobile app and it is also available on the HR website. The telephone numbers to call for Emergency Travel Assistance are not changing. For 24/7 assistance, call:

- Heading Aid Coverage: Effective July 1st, medical doctors, audiologists and otolaryngologists are accepted as prescribers of hearing aids.
- Healthcare Spending Account: Effective July 1, 2023, a Healthcare Spending Account benefit in the amount of $400 is available to employees.
